Speaker Spotlight: Marcus Cohn

I’m very excited to be presenting at WordCamp LA. While I’m based in NYC, I’m frequently in LA and am thrilled to meet the LA WP community.

I run creative and website design and development at 2tor, a company who partners with preeminent institutions of higher education to deliver rigorous, selective degree programs online to students globally. We currently work with 3 schools on 4 different programs. We work with the University of Southern California on a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Masterā€™s of Social Work, Georgetown University on a Masterā€™s in Nursing degree and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on an Online MBA.

While at 2tor, Iā€™ve led the strategy, design, and implementation of a dozen websites for some of the nationā€™s top tier universities, all of them WordPress. We love WordPress and use it to power all of our marketing sites. During my talk, ā€œWordPress for Education: How to build a kickass .edu siteā€ Iā€™ll be sharing many of the lessons weā€™ve learned developing websites for universities in the past 3+ years.

You can learn more about me at Marcuscohn.com, or visit 2tor.com to learn more about what we do. See you all in a few days.

About Austin

Hi, I'm Austin, but you can call me Frosty. I'm an LA native living in Santa Monica. I'm currently "Principle Engineer; Content" for Crain Communications and when I'm not working on WordPress during the day I create premium plugins; which I sell. My most popular products are extensions for Custom Login (a plugin with over 1 Million downloads) and other plugins. I've been working on WordPress since ~2006 and from 2009-2012 I was the organizer of WordCamp LA. I'm a huge Dodgers fan, softball player and golfer.
