Traci is a designer/developer with 14 years of professional experience. As a “systems builder,” she loves to understand the big picture and help connect the dots between strategy and execution. She began her career working for design heroes April Greiman and Andrea Lenardin Madden, after which she founded Visual Issues, a multi-disciplinary creative studio that specializes in visual identity design.

She volunteered with WordCamp LAX in 2015 and designed the logo, schedule, and swag in 2016. A few of Traci’s recent WordPress projects include sites for Wild Up (contemporary classical music ensemble), The Industry (experimental opera company), Verge Art – Sac Open Studios (Sacramento artist directory),  Rewire (e-commerce for a high-end lighting gallery), Aquarium Drunkard (music criticism), Character Media (magazine focused on Asian Americans in entertainment), Character Images (stock photo site for Character Media),  Pablove (children’s cancer charity), Love Local (directory of independent businesses), and Supe Troop (music supervision firm). She loves to collaborate directly with artists, such as on sites for composers Christopher Rountree and his Commitment Booth piece, Christopher Cerrone, Ellen Reid, and Jodie Landau.

Despite working primarily in the digital space, Traci makes a point to spend time away from the computer, enhancing her creative skills and image-making ideas by experimenting with many tactile art forms, including collage, printmaking, and textiles (sewing, embroidery, and knitting). She loves to geek out over printing and has a risograph printer that she uses to make posters, zines, and short runs of stationery.
